Nebbi ->Uganda
This place is significant in the lives of the Nilotes in Uganda as it’s the place where their fore fathers, brothers Gipir and Labongo parted ways, spreading out to cover 3 different countries. It’s a historical site where their centuries -old conflicts and hatred is dated back to. To Uganda it’s a tourism site that tells a culture rich of African tradition, conflict resolution and revenge.
The site is also believed to be a place of wonders and miracles where an axe comes out of river Nile when it so pleases. This axe was thrown into the Nile as a sign of the separation of the two rothers when they failed to resolve conflicts between them and its advisable to visit the site during months when the wind is blowing north wards if you have great desire to see the axe come out of the river.
