Bwindi impenetrable forest is another mesmerizing scenery with its dense canopy being home of mountain gorillas with several tree species. The forest is also home to several species of bird which are well spotted along the Bigodi wetlands.

The country's largest freshwater lake (Lake Victoria), as well as historical landmarks such as the independence monument and the world war memorial monument, are located in the country's central region.
