Kidepo Valley National Park

Kaboong district. ->Uganda.

Description

 Nestled in the wild frontier region of Uganda, the park is apparently the most isolated national park in Uganda but still stands out to be one of the virgin places most wildlife viewers can ever visit in Uganda. The park is among Africa’s best wilderness areas, harboring a couple of extinct species of wildlife that can only be found here and viewing the savannah landscape next to a few mountainous bodies is so breath taking.

Besides the nature, the park also a great spot for cultural trail especially to those who would like to see the karamojongs, Acholis and other tribes. Nature walks, birding and hiking are also key activities to engage in. There are plenty of fancy accommodation facilities within the park with the best of Uganda’s meals made from fresh foods.

The park is famous for its scenic Borassus palm trees, a delicacy of elephants as well as the indigenous communities beautifully scattered all through the valley, the giant seasonal kidepo river and the ostriches not forgetting the vibrant mammal presence in all corners.
