Tororo ->Uganda
Most certainly the rock is the most prominent and defining feature inTororo district, the rock stands at an altitude of 1483 meters above sea-level and visible from each part of the town. The rock was a result of volcanic activities several years back. Underneath the rock are several caves with interesting paintings from years back and it was a prayer place for locals before Christianity came to light, people would go to the caves to sacrifice and seek answers from gods.
Climbing to rock top takes 3 phases and it can be done in less than an hour for a well prepared physically fit person via the ladders. A cable car is being planned for to be reintroduced at the site to help those who can’t climb but wish to reach the top.
